Job Title: Lead Auditor

Job Summary:
The Social Lead Auditor will oversee and conduct social compliance audits in accordance with globally recognized standards such as SMETA, BSCI, SA8000, SLCP, and WRAP. The role requires ensuring adherence to ethical, labour, and health & safety requirements while leading audit engagements, guiding audit teams, and supporting clients in corrective action processes. Candidates must be APSCA-qualified and possess a minimum of 3 years of social auditing experience.Key Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct, and lead social compliance audits as per APSCA, SEDEX/SMETA, BSCI, SLCP, and other industry standards.
Assess labour practices, working conditions, health & safety, management systems, and environmental aspects at facilities.
Evaluate compliance with local labour laws, international ethical standards, and client-specific requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate, and credible audit reports with findings and non-conformities.
Review corrective action plans (CAPs) and follow up on the closure of non-compliances.
Lead audit teams, guide junior auditors, and ensure adherence to professional and ethical APSCA standards.
Provide staff training on social compliance requirements, audit methodologies, and industry best practices.
Maintain integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the audit process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any field (Social Sciences, Business, Compliance, or related areas preferred).
APSCA registered auditor (CSCA Level).
Minimum 3 years of experience in social compliance auditing.
Strong understanding of labour laws, ethical sourcing requirements, and standards such as SMETA, BSCI, SLCP, WRAP, SA8000.
Excellent communication, interviewing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and lead multi-location audit assignments.
