Job Title: Trainee Social Auditor

Job Summary:

The Trainee Social Auditor will support senior and lead auditors in conducting social compliance audits based on standards such as SMETA, BSCI, SLCP, WRAP, and SA8000. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who are graduates and interested in building a career in social compliance, ethical sourcing, and labour standards auditing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and conducting social compliance audits under the supervision of senior auditors.

  • Support in evaluating labour practices, working conditions, health & safety, and environmental aspects.

  • Participate in worker interviews, document reviews, and site observations.

  • Help prepare draft audit findings, notes, and supporting documentation.

  • Learn and follow global audit methodologies (SMETA, BSCI, SLCP, WRAP, etc.).

  • Coordinate with facility management for audit scheduling and document collection.

  • Maintain ethical behaviour, confidentiality, and integrity as required by social compliance auditing norms.

  • Continuously develop knowledge of labour laws, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in any stream (Social Sciences, Business, Management, or related areas preferred).

  • Basic understanding or interest in labour laws, human rights, or social compliance.

  • Strong communication, observation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to travel for audit assignments and work in field environments.

  • Eagerness to learn and grow into an independent Social Auditor role.
